I was lucky enough to be invited to the inaugural Kimberley Aboriginal Women's Council Roundtable where the national toolkit framework was being developed.
This toolkit is being developed with resources to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women across Australia to develop women’s councils and organisations. This work is being done by The Kimberley Aboriginal Women’s Council (KAWC) and Edith Cowan University (ECU) and responds to the Wiyi Yani U Thangani report by the Australian Human Rights Commissioner, June Oscar, AO. It is funded by the BHP Foundation and supported by the Australian Indigenous Leadership Centre.
KAWC has launched a 10-minute survey for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women around the country aged 18+
