I rose in the Senate earlier to respond to Senator Hanson’s comments on the Black Lives Matter rallies that have been happening across the country over the past 2 weeks. Those who benefit from inequality will always fight to maintain racist structures and attitudes. Australia is on the cusp of a big change when it comes to the rights of First Nations people, the momentum is there and we can’t stop now.
